§ 2482. Right of employee who entered armed forces
to be reinstated


Any regular and permanent employee who left a position of the
departmental service, which now comes within the classified
service, subsequent to May 1, 1940, and entered the armed forces of
the United States shall be restored to his position and,
thereafter, be subject to the rights and jurisdiction of the
classified service created by this Part if he makes application
therefor to the appointing authority within sixty days from the
date of his honorable discharge or discharge under honorable
conditions, and is physically and mentally capable of performing
the work of his position to the satisfaction of the appointing
authority.
